Haskell & White congratulates the following individuals on their promotions:
Joe Zhao, CPA, Senior Tax Manager
Zhao brings over a decade of public accounting experience to Haskell & White and was previously a real estate tax manager at Ernst & Young.
Zhao has experience in providing consulting, compliance, and advisory services for commercial and residential real estate developers, real estate investment funds, land developers, and real estate investment trusts (REITs). He consults on real estate property and entity acquisitions, reviewing and formulation of partnership agreements, and provides guidance on organizational structures. He also is well-versed in multi-state compliance and state/international withholdings. As a senior tax manager with Haskell & White, Zhao uses his business acumen and organizational skills to enhance the client experience by providing added value beyond tax returns.
Sarah Dias, In-Charge Tax Accountant
Dias has been with Haskell & White for two years, joining the firm after gaining two years of public accounting experience through a staff role at a local firm, and an internship at a national firm. Highly productive and efficient, she has specialties that include real estate partnerships and high-net-worth individuals. In her new role, Dias will delegate work to challenge and develop individuals at the firm, monitor progress against current plans and budgets, and develop strong working relationships with client personnel.
Heather Huynh, In-Charge Tax Accountant Huynh first joined Haskell & White through a merger with Katherman Kitts & Co. LLP in 2017. She specializes in preparing tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and is skilled in technology. Prior to working in public accounting, she worked as a private accountant for Zodiac Aerospace USA. Her promotion to in-charge tax accountant will include mentoring other accountants at the firm and overseeing engagements for clients.
Brenda Roberts, Payroll & Benefits Manager
Roberts joined Haskell & White in 2015, bringing with her 25 years of experience in accounting, and 16 years of payroll and benefits experience for the transportation and moving industries. Her responsibilities at Haskell & White include payroll processing, benefits administration, daily cash management, overseeing and managing accounts payable and onboarding new hires. Her experience managing payroll, coupled with careful time management, allows her to take on additional responsibilities at the firm. Known for her strong work ethic, employees can always go to Roberts with a question, and be sure to walk away with an answer.
