Accounting and Technology Veteran to Expand CPA Firm’s IT Capabilities
IRVINE, CALIF. (May 17, 2006) – Haskell & White LLP, one of Southern California’s largest independently owned accounting, auditing and tax consulting firms, today announced that Mr. Robert Greene has joined the firm’s Audit and Business Advisory Services team as Information Technology (IT) Audit Practice Leader.
Mr. Greene, who comes to Haskell & White from Deloitte & Touche in Los Angeles, is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). In his new senior management position, he will support audit teams in assessing computer environments, and assist with the IT portion of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, including the design, documentation and testing of internal controls in IT systems. The addition of Mr. Greene expands the firm’s capabilities relative to audit consulting: advising clients on new software packages; reviewing security systems; reviewing the general computer control environment; and implementing disaster recovery plans. He also will introduce the firm to new market segments.

A 26-year accounting industry veteran, Mr. Greene most recently served as a manager in the Control Assurance group at Deloitte & Touche, where he managed internal audits, directed Sarbanes-Oxley reviews, and supervised reviews of application security, interfaces, general computer controls, and application configuration as well as financial process and access controls. Mr. Greene’s professional experience also includes stints at Mattel Toys, Los Angeles Unified School District and Jefferson Wells International.

Mr. Greene, who resides in Hawthorne, Calif., earned a bachelors degree in International Relations with minors in Accounting and Computer Science from the University of Southern California, and a JD/MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
