Michelle Li is a Tax Senior Manager at Haskell & White, bringing over eight years of public accounting experience to the Firm. Michelle began her career at a mid-sized CPA firm, where she worked for over two years. She transitioned to a Big 4 firm, where she gained extensive experience working with large clients in the Orange County area. Following her tenure there, Michelle moved into the private industry, serving as a Tax Manager for a marketing agency for two years prior to joining Haskell & White.

Clients appreciate Michelle’s excellent listening skills and her ability to provide insightful feedback and advice. Michelle aims to build and maintain strong, synergistic relationships with her clients characterized by mutual trust and responsiveness. She prioritizes understanding her client’s businesses and needs, ensuring she addresses their inquiries promptly.

She is very passionate about her work and continually advances her tax knowledge. Michelle is known for her exceptional technical skills, especially in tax preparation, with a focus on ASC 740 and Subchapter C. Michelle’s expertise allows her to excel in assisting audit teams with tax provisions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and the correct application of complex tax regulations.

Michelle is a dedicated mentor who guides her team and helps them advance their careers. She believes in fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment, where knowledge-sharing and professional development are prioritized.

She earned a Bachelor’s in Finance from Western University and a Master’s in Accounting from UC Irvine. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling, hiking, golfing, gardening, and exploring new foods and restaurants.
